RulesWHO MAY ENTER: Entries will be accepted from an individual or group engaged in creating or producing television commercials. This includes, though not by way of limitation, advertising agencies, production houses, television stations, networks and advertisers. French language commercials in Canada are honoured at concours de création du Publicité-Club (Coq d'or), therefore they are not included in The Bessies Awards. In the event that a single spot or campaign selected for an award was entered by more than one individual or group, the award will recognize all parties. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all commercials that were created by an agency incorporated in Canada. All entries must have been telecast within the period from February 1, 2010 to February 1, 2011 and must not have been entered in any previous Bessies competition. To be eligible, entries must have been telecast in the exact and complete format in which they were submitted. Director's cuts will not be accepted. To be eligible for the Early Bird rate, all Early Bird entry material must be received by the Bessies no later than the Early Bird entry deadline. To be eligible for judging, ALL entry material must be received by no later than the final entry deadline. ENTRY DEADLINE: To take advantage of the Early Bird discount, send entries in NOW. Deadline for early bird discount is Friday, January 21, 2011. Final deadline for entries is Friday, February 17, 2012. CATEGORIES: Categories included in the entry forms exist only to facilitate a more efficient judging process. All single entries are placed into categories, side by side with other similar types of products or services and then screened within their respective class context. Awards will not be presented to individual categories. For details of the specific awards go to Awards. HARD COPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
